How to Extract or Inject Files For an XGD3 ISO
How to Extract or Inject Files For an XGD3 ISO By Twis7eD of InsomniacGamerZ.net This tutorial will teach you how to easily extract or inject the inner files that are stored inside of an XGD3 ISO. Because XGD3 is the new format for Xbox 360 games, you will need to take a different approach then normal since most of the older software doesn't support XGD3. Requirements: Xbox Backup Creator v2.9 An XGD3 ISO 1. Once you have your XGD3 ISO, we can open up Xbox Backup Creator. When you open Xbox Backup Creator, you should be presented with a screen similar to this: ![]() 2. Now click the Image Tools tab: ![]() 3.Now click on the Image Browser button. A new window should open: ![]() 4.Click File and then Open Image File and locate your ISO and open it. ![]() Now that your ISO file is open you have three options. Option 1. - Extracting only certain files: To do this, find the files that you want to extract and right click on each one that you want to extract and select Extract. ![]() Then just pick where you want to extract the files to and Xbox Backup Creator will start extracting the file. Please know that you can only extract one file or folder at a time unless you want to extract the whole disc. Option 2. - Extracting all files: To do this, just right click on the left side where it says "(Game name) iso" or whatever it says for you and then select Extract. It will look like this: ![]() Once you have clicked Extract, then just pick a location for you files to be extracted to and Xbox Backup Creator will start extracting the files. Option 3. - Injecting a file: To do this, just right click on a file that you want to replace. Then click on the Replace option. ![]() Xbox Backup Creator will then allow you to browse for a file to replace the current file with. So, lets say you have a modded version of that file that you want to inject, then you can find that file and replace it. Now you have successfully extracted or injected files into an Xbox 360 XGD3 ISO. It's that easy!
