Question About MOD2 Gamertag modding

Someone i met on xbox live claims that he can Mod my account to work with my xbox so that i can recover my account and have a modded gamertag, is this possible?

no its not possible because the gamertag mod can only me done to the harddrive not to the account. if you already gave him your account it was probably a very bad choice

Dont do it! if it is on the Hard drive thats one thing but the account they can then ban and he will probally steel your account. no ones that nice besides twisted lol

don't give anyone ur account info, unless it's microsoft, and microsoft will probably never ask u for ur pw information. he's probably just trying to hack ur account

Ok cool, thanks for the responses, that is why i posted here first just to make sure i didn't get hacked. I will just work on getting my own cable and do it myself

But if you recover the gamertag, it will create a new profile file on the HDD... So it should show all the games he played and the achievements for them, and then from there you can mod it... Right?

You can mod the achievements but not the gamertag. To mod the gamertag, you have to have the harddrive that the person is going to use on live.

another thing you do if you dont wanna do it yourself, is just get a transfer cable and find someone you trust to do it for you through team viewer. team viewer is a program where a person can control your computer and basically move the mouse for you. but only with you permission of course.

Ive modded my GT in Modern Warfare to say things like. "Wow, I shot you!" or something like that. But of course through teamviewer.
