I read through your patching a title update tutorial, and then did it multiple times, but every time command prompt says that there is an error when reading the 'xex file C:\Users\*****\Desktop\default_mp.xex" any fixes?

Take a screenshot of exactly what you're typing or paste exactly what you're typing so I can figure out what you're doing wrong.

Step 2 -> xextool thingy: C:\Users\Owner>C:\Users\Owner\Downloads\Xextool_v6 .1\xextool.exe -p C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\default_mp.xexp C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\default_mp.xex

Just to be clear, you're not actually typing C:\Users\Owner>C:\Users\Owner\Downloads\Xextool_v6 .1\xextool.exe -p C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\default_mp.xexp

You're just typing everything after the >, right?

Here are some other possible problems:
Are your files named default_mp.xexp and default_mp.xex?
Are both of your files located on your desktop?

If all else fails, move xextool and both of your files to the root of your hard drive and then try that. Sometimes long file and folder paths get confusing, simplifying by putting everything on the root of your drive might help.

Ok, discovered the problem being the xex file wasn't on desktop, but now there is another problem. After it says readong and parsing input xex file... it says that C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\default_mp.xexp is not the correct patch file for C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\default_mp.xex

Hmm, that's odd. What game are you doing this for? Obviously you need to use a title update that is for that specific game. Maybe you just downloaded a bad title update that someone uploaded to the internet.

If worst comes to worst, I can try patching the title update to the xex for you as long as you send me the xex.

I am doing this for Call of duty black ops, trying to get the Title Update #5. If you could send me the xex, thatd be great

I made it awhile back and still had it on my computer. Let me know when you download it so that I can remove the download link. Also, let me know if it works because I don't know if I have ever tested it.

Keep in mind that this still has RSA checks on it, so you won't be able to do any modding without removing those.

You don't put the xex in the title update. You replace the original Black Ops xex with this one.

Do you have Black Ops on your JTAG / RGH Xbox's HDD? If so, take the xex that you just downloaded and replace the default_mp.xex that is on your JTAG / RGH Xbox HDD and you will be good to go.

I dont think that we are on the same page here. I want to put |Black Ops Title Update #5 so i can get the Ascenson zombie map, but my xbox is not jtagged or anything like that, just a regular xbox.
