How to Mod in Halo 3 Matchmaking on a JTAG'd Xbox 360

This tutorial will teach you how to mod in Halo 3 matchmaking and allow you to have an aimbot and unlimited ammo(if you have host) in matchmaking.

Requirements:
An Unbanned JTAG'd Xbox 360
Auto Xbins to download XeXmenu and Xport360
A copy of Halo 3 or Halo 3 ODST or ISO of either one
Supermodder's Auto Aim Default.xex - Exclusive Members only.

Downloading and Installing XeXmenu
(skip if already installed)

1. After downloading Xbins, open it. Wait for it to connect to the server. Then click Xbox 360>dashboards>XeXMenu>and then double click xexmenu_v1.1.rar to download it.
2. Navigate to where ever you download XeXmenu to. Extract the C0DE9999 folder anywhere.
3. Open Xplorer360 and navigate to Partition 3>Content>00000000>and put the C0DE9999 folder in the 0000000000 folder.


Installing Halo 3 to Your Hardrive

1. Turn your Xbox 360 on.
2. Go to my Xbox, then go to Game Library. From there you should see XeXmenu 1.1(if you don't then you didn't put it on the right spot on your hardrive). Click on XeXmenu and load it.
3. Once in XeXmenu, hit the right bumper. Then go to Hdd1>Content>00000000000>and make a new folder called "Games" by pressing "Y". Then inside of the the Games folder make another folder called "Halo 3".
4. Once in the Halo 3 folder, click Y again. There should be an option to copy disc. Click that and it will prompt you to insert your disc. Put your Halo 3 disc in now. *NOTE* you need to have approximately 8GB of free space on your HDD to copy the disc.
5. It should take about 20ish minutes to install. Just let it finish. If it freezes, then turn your console off and restart it and delete all the files and folders that it just copied to your hardrive and start again.
6. Once it is done. Load the default.xex to make sure the game boots and then turn off the console once you are sure it loads.


Injecting the Auto Aim Default.xex


1. Plug your HDD into your computer.
2. Open Xport360.
3. Navigate to Partition 3 > Content > 000000000000000 > Games > Halo 3
4. You should see the Default.xex file in that folder now. Overwrite it with the auto aim default.xex file that you downloaded from the requirements.


Modding in Matchmaking


1. Plug your HDD back into your Xbox.
2. Open XeXmenu by going to My Xbox > Game Library > Xexmenu 1.1 and launch it.
3. Navigate to hdd1 > Content > 000000000000000000 > Games > launch the default.xex by clicking on it.
4. Sign into an Xbox LIVE account.
5. Go into matchmaking and mod some scrubs.


Congratulations! You have just successfully modded in Halo 3 matchmaking.

Yes....lol. I unbanned my Xbox last night and modded in matchmaking with this. I was playing with Pengwin, Carbinez, B3RT, and Snow. You should have been on lol.

Yes, it still works but don't waste a KV. It's a terrible aim bot and it's not fun after one or two games. Wait a little while(maybe a couple months maximum) until I get RTH for Halo 3 working. Then modding in matchmaking will be fun. You can control whatever you want to happen in the game and watch it appear right before your eyes.

Real Time Halo. It allows you to open a .map file in Alteration(the Halo 3 .map modding program) and change what guns shoot, how fast guns shoot, what weapons do, how fast you can run, how fast you can jump, the skins of maps, etc. Then you click a poke button and poke whatever you changed into your game. You can basically change everything about the map while you're playing on it. One second an assault rifle is shooting normal bullets, the next second it's shooting spartans, rockets, plasma grenades, etc. It's using memory editing on your JTAG which wasn't possible until recently. It was always possible on development kits, but not until recently have people figured out how to really utilize it on a JTAG.

Right now Real Time Halo is possible on Halo 3 and the Halo: Reach beta, but no one is releasing it for Halo 3 because no one wants matchmaking to be ruined. Halo: Reach beta RTH is possible though and it's fun as hell.

Probably not. Unknown(an amazingly smart modder) is working on making RTH for Halo 3 possible, but making it so that you can't be connected to Xbox LIVE while using it so that no one attempts to mod in matchmaking. My friend Renegade has already figured out how to do RTH in Halo 3 though and has told me that he will share it with me once he works out all the bugs. I won't be sharing it though. If I ever do share it, it will be years from now. The reason being is because he trusts me and he doesn't want something like this being leaked.

If you do get it would you ever bring it into matchmaking or would you just use it in Custom Games?

So lets say you mod a assault rifle to shoot rockets. Does it change all the AR's in the game?

I'm not sure actually. I'll ask Renegade next time I talk to him. It probably would if I was host.

I don't know for sure because I've only used RTH in the Reach beta so far and you can only play by yourself in the Reach beta so I wouldn't know. Also, anyone up for a RTH Reach beta video? I'll make one if you're interested.

I have done everything you said in the TUT, The aimbot works in custom games. But how can i play in matchmaking now? Just put in internet cable and log in? I will get banned then right? Or do you use xlink kai or freeboot? I really hope you can help me.

Yes, you just plug in an ethernet cable and connect to LIVE. You will get banned within 4 hours though. You can easily unban yourself if you get another KV though. There is also an upgraded default.xex that has auto aim for every weapon. You should try to find that one if you are going to go online.
