What Temp Does Your Jtag Run At
I'm just wondering about an average temp our xboxs should be running so maybe we could catch an issuse before it becomes something worse. I have this thought because My most recent Jtag I bought (no previous work other than jtaging) I noticed when i installed Freestly dash it was running at 175-180 This is my fist xenon so i figured it would be hotter than previous falcon chipsets Two days later it 3rrod on me after the xclamp and new thermal paste its now running an average of 135!
Like i said just courious as to everyones Temps on average and type chipset. Xenon Freeboot.32 135 degree average |

Running homebrew(freestyle dash in your case) will cause your Xbox to use more power and run at a higher temperature. I normally run around 170-180 degrees Fahrenheit, but I crank up my fan speed sometimes. I have an Xenon motherboard with x-clamps still intact. I don't know what temps my other Xenon runs at, but it has the x-clamp fix already done to it.
Doing the x-clamp fix helps because of so many issues that the x-clamps cause. The x-clamps cause flexing and bending in the board that make it worse over time. |

I have my Xbox boot straight to FreeStyle Dash. I <3 Dash Launch. Being able to boot right into FreeStyle makes it really easy to access all my games that are on my HDD and be able to FTP really easily.

Yeah freestly is great, Everyone raves over XEXmenu but IMO Freestyle has a much better interface for running games and doing file transfers It just has that clean look to it I'm looking forward to V2.0 to be released.

I removed my x-clamps and added new thermal paste and have a large external fan blowing on it so it runs around 40-50 degrees (i assume centegrade). and i had it running for hours and no "over-heating" RRoD.

Let's you modify games, play games off of a hard drive, let's you play files that you normally can't play on a normal Xbox without signing them (which only Microsoft can do), and a lot more.

No, the hack is part of the software, it is not a game. If I am understanding your question correctly. The hack is basically the dashboard modified to allow tons of things that normally wouldn't be allowed.

Yes and no. Since you are running FSD off of your HDD (most likely), it will probably run at a cooler temperature. But since it is also a piece of software that was not made by Microsoft, it may not be optimized as well as they could and it isn't signed, so it probably will make your console hotter then normal.
