Ced2911 released an early version of his PSX Emu a couple moths ago and while it had some issues it was still a great work in progress but today we get news courtesy of our friend Razkar of Logic-Sunrise.com that there has been an updated version released for the public earlier today.
While the original work was done with the Official Microsoft Xbox SDK and contained copyrighted MS code this new version is completely clean of copyright code as it has been done in libXenon. For those of you that don't know libXenon is an opensource library alternative to the MS SDK. What this means for the end user is it will need to be run by Xell or Xellous, Currently you have to use Xell to load an elf(libXenon executable) but there is work underway to change that. For now use XellLaunch to load up Xell via FSD and have your elf file on the root of a usb.
Quick How To:
Copy the contents of the zip to the root of a usb
Create a folder named ISO and place your roms in there, make sure the extension is .iso
Connect your USB to the console.
Use XellLaunch to load Xell or power off the jtag and boot it up with the eject button.

Hopefully this version will actually play PS1 games. The last version wouldn't work at all for me. And I don't know if this accepts any other format besides .ISO, but hopefully it does. I'll try some other formats later and see if it does.
