Community Input

I want to start getting more community input to better the site. I'm going to start putting up a lot of polls for people to vote on certain things. Whatever wins majority vote for each poll will probably impact what the staff decide to do. So, the first poll that I want to put up is if anyone would be interested in having a mobile skin. I want to take a tally of who actually uses their phones to access the site at any point or if they would have any interest in having a mobile skin for future use. I saw a member suggest this in Emu's lottery thread and thought more about it. I found a couple good mobile skins that I'm probably going to install if we decide that this is a good idea. So, just vote on what you think about the idea and leave a comment if you want.

I think a mobile skin would be great im always using my iPod in WiFi hot spots so yeah.

in school when im bored i usually pull out iphone and ease on ever here. isnt really that iphone friendly imo. but would love to see mobile design.

I was looking into how I could help make a mobile version of this site for you guys, or designing an app. so I'm glad you guys are actually considering this now. I would go on here a lot more often with the convenience of going on through my ipod.

A mobile skin would be perfect for the site. Especially if your on the road or on vacation without internet access. Even if you just want to go on at school. It would keep activity up and hopefully promote more posting.

Great idea my phone is from 1932 so I don't have internet access :/ but it's definitely a good idea.

ya i got an iphone and im allways on it during school, i think its a great idea. and maby an app in the app store for ipod touches and iphones.

Just installed the skin. There are a few bugs with it, but I wiped out a majority of the ones that it had before I installed it on our real forum. Some parts of the registration page were in Spanish and the capatcha wasn't even a part of the registration page, making it impossible to register. Both of those bugs were fixed.

To access the skin, just pick it from the list at the bottom left of any page.

Then the skin should look something like this:

It's very quick but one thing. I don't know if it's just my Blackberry but whenever I click login it doesn't load and it's just a white page.

Yeah, I tested from two different phones and it worked on both. Neither of which were Blackberry's, though. Let me know if the problem continues to happen.

I don't really know what to tell you. You must have done something wrong because it should have changed. Were you doing it on your phone or on your computer? Either way, it should have changed.

Works great and looks great on iPhone.

One little bug I noticed is that several times if I click on a forum(Ex. General Discussion) while I'm in the mobile skin, it will bring me to that forum but I'll be in the full site, IGZ Style skin.. so I have to go down and switch it back to mobile skin.

Anyways, I go on the site all the time on my iphone, but I hate using the mobil skin. I don't even use it for s7. Guess I'm just weird.

Probably not the best place to ask.

, click their name and select send private message. Fair warning though, don't message them about lobbies.

I'll look into it, but I don't know if there's much that I can do. It might change from phone to phone. If anyone else experiences this, then tell me. Because I'm thinking that it might be a cookie issue on your particular phone. I'll just have to wait and see if any other different phones have issues.

On the mobile skin or just regularly? On the mobile skin, go to the menu button and just send someone a message from there. Pretty easy.
