Laptop restarts by itself
I use my laptop for Xbox Live and sometimes I'll open it and search or whatever when the game is looking for players in matchmaking. Sometimes it'll restart itself- the screen'll turn blue for a sec with a bunch of weird text and then reboot causing my to lose connection. Anything I can do to fix this?

It's overheating most likely, try to keep it cool and use less power. It could also be a virus so I suggest running some scans.
edit:if it is overheating and you don't want to open you're laptop just buy a compressed air can from staples, officemax w/e and clear the fans best you can.

You can just do the ghetto thing and put a fan behind your computer to cool it off. I had to do that for a little while, it sucks but it works if your fans broken and your too lazy or cheap to fix it.

That must be it. I barely have any programs running in the bottom right of my screen so I don't know why it gets hot so fast. Rarely do I have my laptop on the carpet, but I have. There's hot air spewing out of the bottom as I type.

If your computer is having a heat problem, I would suggest you take it to a pro to get it cleaned if you don't want to do it yourself. Usually what happens when laptops start to overheat is this. But if the screen is going Blue with a whole bunch of weird text, that might be the "Blue Sceen of Death". The BSOD looks similar to this and could be caused by the overheating or a number of other things. Hope that helps.
