Neighbor stealing wifi
My wifi has started turning unsecure by itself so I'm trying to resecure it. When I click on my router and then properties, I picked WPA-personal and AES or TKIP then a password. But after I do that, my connection fails and it says "The settings set on this computer for the network do not match the requirement of the network." What gives? I'm currently browsing unsecurely.

Do you have the instillation cd for your router? If not what type of router do you have? I would suggest getting a new one if it unsecured itself.

It's basically windows saying that the settings saved for the network you are using are not the same. You'll have to open 'Network and Sharing Center', then click 'Manage Wireless Networks', and modify your router's profile to match the info on the router. And ya done.

if yours is Netgear then it's www.Routerlogin.net Login: admin password: Password

If you really want to access your router, open command prompt (go to run and type cmd), and then type ipconfig. It will list your Default Gateway, which should be something like 192.168.1.254, type that into your browser. Then find out the login for your router, which you can do Googling your router brand and model number, as long as you haven't changed it.

Argh, I managed to get it secured and I thought everything was fine but then it started losing connection to the internet. The globe next to the computer icon disappears. When I search for networks I can see my neighbors wi-fi, but I don't want them to see mine!
