Windows = Games + more
Linux= idk never had it. Simplicity?
OSX = Program stuff like video editing and other stuff

It's all about your needs. I know that most video editors, graphic designers, and web designers prefer MAC OS' over Windows. I don't know why that is, but that's what I've mainly seen. I know that video editors do it because Final Cut Pro is the industry standard for video editing and it's a MAC only program.

Linux is good for customization and if you like to have full control over your OS and what you're doing. It's not for the novice.

Windows is an all around good OS for many reasons and Windows 7 is definitely my favorite. XP is probably the most stable, but is becoming out dated now. Vista was pretty much always ****. And the reviews that Windows 8 is getting are pretty bad, so we'll see how that turns out.
